Oak Ridge Science Semester
Homework: Use your evening and weekend hours to do any course-associated reading and homework. Homework should not be done on lab time. Occasionally, you may need to meet with your course professor during laboratory hours. If so, make sure that this appointment is okay with your research mentor and be prepared to make up any time missed. The professors are aware of the constraints some of you are under and will be as flexible as possible. ORNL does not have any type of academic support or writing center. You will need to rely on your professor and classmates for help. Again, your professors are aware of this limitation and are willing to do everything they can to help you. If you are really struggling and need some advice or help, talk to the Resident Director. Resident Faculty are an important part of the Oak Ridge Science Semester experience and are selected in part for their ability to help you with any academic concerns you may have.
